Definition of lesion types

The lesion types being assessed must be established at the outset. These have been divided into noninflamed and inflamed lesions.

To confirm the reproducibility of our method, two doctors examined 420 patients. Many were counted on consecutive  days so that reproducibility by the same doctor and a comparison between doctors were made.

Both sets of data showed good correlation.
