Vasculitic acne

The time course of a  patient suffering from vasculitic acne. This young boy developed very severe acne over a period of a few days; this was associated with vasculitic lesions reminiscent of pyoderma gangraenosum and circulating immune complexes. He responded well, but slowly, to prednisone, tetracycline and azathioprine.
